💼 Professional Background
What inspired you to pursue a career in physical therapy/physical therapy assisting?
Originally, I planned to pursue a career in medicine as a physician. However, I realized that physical therapy offered the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives while also allowing me to spend more time with patients and build stronger relationships throughout their care. I was drawn to the ability to help people improve their function, reduce pain, and enhance their quality of life while maintaining a balanced and fulfilling career.
How long have you been practicing, and what setting do you currently work in?
I have been practicing since 2019. I currently own and operate a cash-based, brick-and-mortar orthopedic and pelvic health practice called Holistic Health PT and Wellness. I also run a virtual fertility support and education platform called Rooted Renewal, where I help individuals and couples better understand and support their fertility journey.
What’s your favorite part of working with patients or clients?
My favorite part of working with patients is being able to make a meaningful and lasting difference in their lives. Whether it's helping someone return to activities they love, improving their confidence in their body, or guiding them through complex health challenges, it’s incredibly rewarding to support people in achieving their goals.
🌟 Professional Involvement
How has being a member of APTA/FPTA benefited you professionally or personally?
I have really enjoyed being involved with the FPTA since my time as a physical therapy student and continuing into my professional career. It has provided valuable opportunities to connect with colleagues, stay informed on developments within the profession, and remain engaged in advocating for the future of physical therapy.
What advice would you give to students or early-career PTs/PTAs?
Take advantage of every opportunity to connect with other professionals and learn from their experiences—both their successes and their challenges. Physical therapy is an incredibly diverse field with many different career paths and practice models. Exploring those possibilities and building strong professional relationships can open doors you may not have initially considered.
What do you think are the biggest opportunities or challenges facing the field right now?
One of the biggest challenges facing our profession is insurance reimbursement and the limitations it can place on patient care. However, I have also seen this challenge inspire innovation within the field. Many clinicians are exploring new practice models, specialized services, and alternative care delivery approaches that allow them to provide highly individualized and patient-centered care.
💬 Fun & Personal Side
If you could have dinner with any historical or famous figure, who would it be and why?
I would choose Steve Irwin. I have always had a deep love for animals and wildlife, and if I hadn’t pursued physical therapy, I likely would have considered becoming a veterinarian. His passion for conservation and education was incredibly inspiring.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
In my spare time, I love caring for and being around my pet reptiles and amphibians. Â I now have over 20! Â
